Attending college and social deternimism in the US.

Hi all!

This evening, I went to see a documentary about the difiiculties for low income students to attend college , called First Generation.

Wow! It is really moving to see how these students must fight against the lack of information, lack of money, lack of support... and social determinism. They are the first of their family to try to attend college.

Barack Obama announced tonight in his State of the Union Address that he has a plan "to lower the cost of community college – to zero." and  that he wants to make those years of college "as free and universal in America as high school is today."

College education is very expensive in the US and it is a lot of stress for senior highschool students.

Let's hope he can make it come true.
